Pulse Fitness Studios is seeking a dynamic Fitness Studio Manager in Los Angeles. This role combines operations leadership, member experience, and revenue growth in a premium fitness environment. As the Studio Manager, you will oversee daily operations, optimize class schedules, and partner with the leadership team to deliver an exceptional, results-driven experience for every member. What you’ll do:
- Lead daily studio operations, safety, cleanliness, and shift coverage to ensure seamless service.
- Recruit, train, and manage coaching and front-desk staff; optimize staffing schedules and performance.
- Develop and implement engaging group fitness programs and class formats that meet member goals.
- Drive member acquisition, retention, and revenue through memberships, programs, and events.
- Manage budgets, inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Collaborate with Marketing to plan promotions, community events, and member engagement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs (attendance, retention, revenue, NPS) and provide actionable reporting to leadership.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive community that supports member goals and personal growth.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily studio operations, safety, and cleanliness to deliver an outstanding member experience.
- Recruit, train, and manage coaching and front-desk teams; optimize scheduling and performance.
- Design and implement group fitness programs and class formats aligned with member goals.
- Drive member acquisition, retention, and revenue through memberships, programs, and events.
- Manage budgets, inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, promotions, and community events.
- Track key metrics (attendance, churn, revenue, NPS) and report to leadership with insights.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive community that motivates members to achieve results.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Sports Management, Business, or related field (or 3+ years in studio management).
- 3+ years of fitness studio operations or gym management; proven leadership experience.
- CPR/AED certification or equivalent and a strong safety mindset.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., Mindbody, Zen Planner) and CRM systems.
- Budgeting, P&L management, and vendor negotiation experience.
- Knowledge of program design, class formats, and progressive training principles.
- Passion for community building, fitness education, and helping members achieve goals.
