BrightPath Digital is expanding its network of premier freelance developers. We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to tackle diverse client projects on a contract basis. Responsibility
- Assess project requirements and propose scalable technical solutions that align with client goals.
- Develop high-quality features with tested, maintainable code across selected stacks.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to refine scope, estimates, and milestones.
- Deliver on-time with clear documentation, tests, and recommended best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior freelancers when appropriate.
- Maintain transparent communication: progress updates, risks, and blockers.
- Adhere to security, accessibility, and performance standards.
- Provide accurate time tracking and posture updates for invoicing.
Qualification
- 3+ years of professional software development experience across modern stacks.
- Proficiency in at least one primary stack (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) and related frameworks (React, Node.js, Django, Spring).
- Strong experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating with clients across time zones.
- Portfolio or Git history demonstrating prior freelance or contract work is a plus.
- Familiarity with code quality, testing strategies, and documentation standards.
- Remote-ready with reliable internet and proactive time management.
