BrightPeak Studio is seeking a talented Freelance Web Developer to join our growing roster of clients. This is a remote-friendly, contract role designed for self-motivated professionals who deliver high-quality work on time.
As a Freelance Web Developer, you will collaborate with designers, PMs, and clients to build and maintain dynamic, responsive websites. You will own technical decisions, code quality, and delivery timelines, while ensuring accessibility and SEO best practices.
What you will do:
- Translate designs and specifications into robust, scalable code across WordPress, React, or static sites.
- Implement responsive, accessible UI components and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Optimize website performance, load times, and SEO fundamentals.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services, such as analytics, payment gateways, and marketing tools.
- Write clean, well-documented code and create maintainable test coverage.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to define scope, timelines, and milestones.
- Monitor progress, report blockers, and deliver working features on schedule.
- Provide post-launch support, bug fixes, and iterative improvements based on client feedback.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain client websites using WordPress, React, or static frameworks.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to implement UI/UX designs.
- Ensure responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible interfaces.
- Optimize performance, SEO readiness, and page speed.
- Integrate APIs, analytics, and marketing tools.
- Write clean, documented, and testable code; conduct basic QA.
- Estimate tasks, manage timelines, and communicate progress to clients.
- Provide post-launch support and iterative improvements.
Qualification
- Proven freelance web development experience with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; experience with React or Vue and WordPress.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and version control (Git).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication, time management, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Familiarity with task estimation and project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello).
