Job description
We’re seeking a skilled Freelance Web Developer to join our elite pool of contract talent. This remote-friendly role is perfect for self-directed developers who deliver polished, production-ready web experiences for a variety of clients.
In this role, you’ll partner with clients to understand requirements, design scalable frontend architectures, implement pixel-perfect UI, integrate APIs and CMS backends, and ensure performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices are applied from day one.
What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Develop and implement responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with clients to translate requirements into technical specs and timelines.
- Build and integrate with CMS backends (WordPress, Drupal, or headless CMS) as needed.
- Ensure performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO-friendly markup.
- Write clean, modular, well-documented code and maintain version control with Git.
- Participate in milestone-based delivery, provide progress updates, and manage client feedback.
- Create reusable components and templates for future projects.
- Proactively identify risks and propose effective solutions.
Qualification
- 3+ years of professional web development experience (freelance or agency).
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design.
- Experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Experience with WordPress and/or other CMS platforms; knowledge of PHP is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern dev tools (Git, Webpack, npm).
- Portfolio showcasing freelance projects with measurable results.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and ability to work independently.
- Availability for occasional client meetings and timely feedback.
