Responsibility
- Oversee daily greenhouse operations and ensure optimal growing conditions for a wide variety of plants.
- Monitor environmental controls, irrigation, and nutrition systems to sustain plant health.
- Maintain integrated pest and disease management programs.
- Conduct soil, water, and tissue testing as required.
- Supervise and train junior horticulture staff.
- Develop and implement new horticultural procedures for enhanced productivity.
- Prepare reports on plant health, crop cycles, and yield projections.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in greenhouse or nursery operations.
- In-depth knowledge of plant nutrition, pest control, and irrigation systems.
- Strong organizational and team leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and apply scientific principles in problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with automated greenhouse technologies is a plus.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
