Verdant Labs is seeking a results-driven Greenhouse Operations Manager to lead our production facilities in Portland. You will design and execute cultivation plans, supervise staff, and drive sustainable yields through data-driven decision making. Responsibility
- Lead all greenhouse production cycles from propagation to harvest, ensuring optimal vigor and yields.
- Develop and implement crop production plans, schedules, and SOPs; monitor KPIs and adjust as needed.
- Manage irrigation, climate control, fertigation, and integrated pest management systems.
- Hire, train, and mentor growing team; conduct performance reviews and safety trainings.
- Ensure compliance with biosafety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analytics, process optimization, and cost control.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agronomy, or related field; master’s preferred.
- 5+ years greenhouse production experience; management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, climate control, fertigation, soil-less media.
- Experience with data-driven decision making, ERP or greenhouse management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
