Responsibility
- Consult with clients to determine desired outcomes and assess hair type, history, and scalp condition.
- Perform precision haircuts, styling, blowouts, and chemical services (coloring, highlighting, balayage) with artistry and safety in mind.
- Provide color formulation, color touch-ups, and corrective color as needed.
- Deliver exceptional guest service, educate clients on at-home care, and upsell premium products.
- Maintain clean, organized workstation and uphold sanitation standards per health regulations.
- Collaborate with teammates, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a positive, growth-focused salon culture.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, retail inventory, and digital client notes to ensure seamless experiences.
Qualification
- Valid New York Cosmetology license or eligibility to transfer
- Minimum 2+ years of professional hairstyling experience in a salon setting
- Proficiency in cutting techniques for men and women, color theory, and lightening services
- Strong guest service, communication, and time-management skills
- Portfolio demonstrating versatile styling and color capabilities
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safe chemical practices
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours
