Join our premier makeup studio in Los Angeles as a Lead Makeup Artist. We are seeking a skilled, client-focused professional to elevate beauty experiences for weddings, editorial shoots, red carpet events, and private consultations.
You will curate personalized looks, apply makeup to highlight natural features, and collaborate with photographers, stylists, and clients to deliver stunning results on schedule and within brand guidelines. Responsibility
- Lead initial client consultations to design bespoke makeup looks aligned with client goals and brand standards.
- Apply makeup for weddings, events, editorials, and on-set shoots with precision and consistency.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation, organization, and workflow across the workstation and kit.
- Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and production teams to achieve cohesive visuals.
- Mentor and train junior artists; share techniques and best practices to elevate the team.
- Manage product usage, inventory, and scheduling to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Build and maintain a strong client portfolio; provide aftercare guidance and follow-up support.
Qualification
- 3-5+ years of professional makeup artistry experience, with a strong bridal and editorial portfolio.
- Proficiency with high-end brands (Chanel, Dior, Armani, Tom Ford, etc.) and a diverse range of makeup techniques.
- Exceptional client communication, listening skills, and ability to translate client vision into looks.
- Strong on-set etiquette, time management, and ability to work under schedule constraints.
- Portfolio showcasing weddings, red-carpet, and editorial work; comfortable in dynamic environments.
- Cosmetology license or state certification is a plus; sanitation and hygiene training required.
- Availability for weekends and travel for events; reliable transportation to shoots.
