Responsibility
- Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Design, update, and innovate Japanese menu offerings in line with customer trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen costs efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to plan new menu launches and promotional events.
- Train and develop team members to ensure exceptional performance and consistency.
- Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and make improvements as needed.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a Japanese or Asian restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredient sourcing.
- Culinary degree or certificate preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and cost control.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation is an advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
