As Head Pastry Chef, you will collaborate with the culinary leadership, oversee production, manage inventory, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-impact desserts for daily service and special events.
Responsibility
- Lead the pastry program, creating innovative desserts and bread offerings.
- Develop and refine recipes; scale for production while maintaining quality.
- Manage a team of pastry cooks, provide training, scheduling, and performance feedback.
- Oversee ordering, inventory, portion control, and cost of goods sold.
- Ensure HACCP, food safety, and sanitation compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership on seasonal menus and events.
Qualification
- 5+ years in pastry arts with leadership experience in a high-volume bakery or restaurant.
- Proven track record of menu development and dessert plating excellence.
- Strong knowledge of dough laminations, pastries, breads, chocolates, and sauces.
- Experience with cost control, inventory management, and vendor relations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Dedicated to quality, consistency, and safety; HACCP-certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
