Responsibility
- Lead and manage historical research projects from inception to publication, focusing on primary sources and rigorous methodology.
- Develop interpretive narratives for exhibits, lectures, online platforms, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with curators, educators, and archivists to produce accurate and engaging content.
- Publish findings in scholarly journals, books, and institute media; present at conferences as needed.
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers; supervise research assistants and interns.
- Support grant writing and fundraising through compelling historical storytelling.
Qualification
- Master's degree in History or a closely related field; PhD preferred for advanced research tracks.
- 5+ years of professional research experience with primary sources, archives, and special collections.
- Strong record of published research and ability to translate findings for academic and public audiences.
- Proficiency with archival research methods, historical databases, and digital humanities tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex histories clearly and engagingly.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting processes is a plus.
