You will lead archival and primary source research, synthesize complex histories into engaging narratives, and collaborate with curators, educators, and designers to create compelling exhibits and digital experiences for diverse audiences.

Responsibility
- Conduct primary source research across archival collections, libraries, and digital repositories to support exhibitions and published materials.
- Evaluate sources for reliability and bias; document provenance and historiography.
- Collaborate with curators, designers, and educators to translate research into exhibit narratives and digital content.
- Draft catalog essays, wall labels, and interpretive panels; contribute to online history publications and social media.
- Plan and manage research projects, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Present findings to internal teams and external partners; support grant reporting as needed.
- Mentor junior researchers or interns and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing.
- Support public programming and educational outreach with engaging historical storytelling.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in History or a closely related field; PhD preferred.
- Demonstrated experience conducting historical or archival research.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to write for scholarly and general audiences.
- Experience with public history, museums, or heritage organizations; exhibit development is a plus.
- Proficiency with archival databases, cataloging standards, and digital humanities tools.
- Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and meet tight deadlines.
