Responsibility
- Oversee daily greenhouse operations including climate control, irrigation systems, and sanitation programs to ensure optimal plant health.
- Design and manage fertigation and nutrition plans to support diverse crop programs.
- Monitor plant health, implement integrated pest management, and maintain accurate production records.
- Lead, train, and schedule a small horticulture team, promoting safety and performance.
- Develop seasonal production calendars, crop plans, and resource forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards across all operations.
- Analyze production data to identify efficiency gains and drive continuous improvement through automation and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related field.
- 3+ years of greenhouse or controlled-environment production experience.
- Strong knowledge of climate control, irrigation, fertigation, and nutrient management.
- Experience with integrated pest management and disease diagnosis in greenhouse crops.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor staff and manage a small team.
- Excellent data analysis, planning, and organizational abilities; proficiency with MS Office and cultivation software.
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting and standing for long periods.
