VerdantLeaf AgroTech is seeking a motivated Horticulture Specialist to join our expanding California team. You will lead greenhouse cultivation projects, optimize plant nutrition, and promote sustainable growing practices across our research and production facilities.
In this role you will collaborate with agronomy researchers and operations staff to deliver high-quality crops, manage daily greenhouse activities, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement advanced horticultural practices for greenhouse and field operations.
- Oversee daily greenhouse management, irrigation, climate control, and sanitation.
- Monitor plant health, diagnose disease and nutrient deficiencies, and coordinate IPM strategies.
- Lead propagation, pruning, and crop scheduling to optimize yields and quality.
- Record keeping, data analysis, and reporting to support R&D and production goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability initiatives and cost reduction.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field; master's preferred.
- 2-4 years of hands-on horticulture experience in greenhouses or nurseries.
- Strong knowledge of IPM, irrigation systems, fertigation, and nutrient management.
- Experience with climate control, hydroponics or soilless systems is a plus.
- Proficient data collection and ability to analyze plant performance metrics.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
