EverGreen Urban Farms is a forward-thinking horticulture company dedicated to sustainable urban agriculture. We design and operate high-efficiency greenhouses that produce fresh produce for local communities. We are seeking a motivated Horticulture Technician to join our Portland team and help optimize plant health, productivity, and quality.
In this role, you will work alongside agronomists and greenhouse technicians to implement best practices across propagation, cropping, irrigation, and environmental controls. You will gain hands-on experience with modern horticultural techniques and data-driven farming.

Responsibility
- Assist with daily greenhouse operations including climate control, irrigation, fertigation, and sanitation
- Monitor plant health and detect disease pests; implement timely prevention strategies
- Propagate, transplant, and manage a variety of crops from seed to harvest
- Record and analyze environmental data to optimize growth conditions
- Maintain standard operating procedures and safety compliance
- Support harvest planning, quality control, and post-harvest handling
- Collaborate with the team to improve crop yields and resource efficiency
- Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management
Qualification
- 2+ years in horticulture, agriculture, or greenhouse operations
- Knowledge of hydroponic or soil-based systems and irrigation
- Experience with climate control technologies and plant nutrition
- Strong attention to detail, data literacy, and problem-solving
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and physical tasks
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and quality standards
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
- Associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred
