As a Horticulture Technician, you will contribute to all stages of plant production, from propagation to harvest, while upholding our safety and sustainability standards.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations in the greenhouse and field plots to ensure optimal plant health and growth targets.
- Implement and monitor irrigation, fertigation schedules, and nutrient management plans.
- Propagate, transplant, prune, and monitor a diverse range of ornamentals and specialty crops.
- Perform Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies and maintain meticulous records.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with HAZCOM, PPE, and farm safety protocols.
- Collect and analyze growth data, adjust cultivation practices, and report insights to the farm manager.
- Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to ensure timely availability of plants and materials.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on greenhouse or field nursery experience.
- Strong knowledge of plant propagation, irrigation systems, soil science, and nutrient management.
- Experience with IPM, pest identification, and safe pesticide handling.
- Excellent record-keeping, data entry, and basic analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
