Responsibility
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff in hospital facilities, ensuring cleanliness and safety across patient rooms, wards, corridors, and public areas.
- Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules, SOPs, and quality control checks to meet hospital standards.
- Monitor inventory and supply levels for linens, cleaning agents, PPE, and equipment; coordinate with procurement to restock as needed.
- Train, coach, and evaluate staff on proper cleaning techniques, infection prevention, waste management, and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hospital policies, and environmental sanitation guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and generate performance reports for facilities management; address deficiencies promptly.
- Respond to cleaning emergencies and patient-related requests with professionalism and urgency; maintain a patient-centered service mindset.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a housekeeping supervisor or similar leadership role in healthcare or relevant large facility environments.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, infection prevention and control practices, and waste management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills; ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Experience creating and managing cleaning schedules, budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, hazard assessment, and incident reporting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Formal education such as a high school diploma; additional training in healthcare sanitation, facilities management, or housekeeping is a plus.
