Job description

Avail BPO Philippines is seeking a diligent HR Coordinator specializing in Compensation and Benefits and Payroll to join our growing team in Cubao, Metro Manila. In this role you will ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and statutory contributions, while maintaining data integrity and compliance with Philippine labor laws.

As a key member of the HR operations team, you will collaborate with payroll providers, finance, and benefits vendors to deliver a seamless employee experience. You will manage payroll data, benefits enrollment, and changes in compensation, and support month end processes with precision and confidentiality. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in our HRIS, reconciling payroll data, and addressing employee inquiries with professionalism.

Responsibility

  • Process biweekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring proper tax, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG contributions, and other statutory deductions.
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs including new hires, changes, leaves, and terminations.
  • Maintain and audit payroll data in HRIS and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to administer health, life, and other employee benefits; support enrollment and renewal processes.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliation, and month end closing assistance for finance; respond to payroll inquiries from employees accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulatory requirements; stay updated on regulatory changes affecting payroll and benefits.
  • Assist in developing compensation planning and guidelines; support a fair and competitive compensation framework.
  • Respond to employee queries with professionalism and provide excellent service; maintain positive employee relations in HR operations.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, compensation and benefits administration, preferably in a BPO or multinational setting.
  • Solid knowledge of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, and other regulatory requirements in the Philippines.
  • Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables); strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced team environment; self motivated and proactive.
  • Professional certifications in payroll or HR management e.g. PH Payroll Specialist, CHRP are a plus.
