HF Courier Service is seeking a meticulous HR Payroll Specialist to join our human resources team in Legazpi City, Albay. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and government contributions, while maintaining compliant payroll records. You will serve as the payroll subject-matter expert, resolving payroll-related concerns and partnering with HR, finance, and operations to support our growing courier network.
Key responsibilities include processing payroll for all employees on a regular schedule, verifying timekeeping data, attendance, leaves, and overtime, and ensuring timely remittance of government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and withholding taxes. You will maintain payroll records, generate payslips, and deliver precise payroll reports to management. You will also troubleshoot discrepancies, respond to employee inquiries with professionalism, and uphold strict confidentiality of payroll information.
The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of Philippine payroll laws, a detail-oriented mindset, and proficiency with payroll software and spreadsheets. You will collaborate with HR and Finance to manage changes in hiring, promotions, terminations, and policy updates while ensuring accuracy and compliance across all payroll cycles.

Responsibility
- Process and reconcile monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate salaries, allowances, deductions, and timely remittance of government contributions and taxes.
- Verify timekeeping data, attendance, leaves, and overtime to ensure payroll records reflect approved changes.
- Maintain and secure payroll records, payslips, tax documents, and confidential employee information in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Compute and validate deductions such as government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and other withholdings; resolve discrepancies and promptly respond to inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and finance; assist with audits and year-end payroll processes, including tax computations and documentation.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to support new hires, terminations, leaves, and policy changes; provide guidance on payroll-related processes.
- Maintain compliance with Philippine payroll regulations and company policies; continuously seek process improvements and implement best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on payroll experience in the Philippines, preferably in logistics or field service sectors.
- Strong knowledge of local payroll laws and statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and BIR withholding tax.
- Proficiency with payroll software and advanced MS Excel; ability to manage large datasets and perform data validation.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail; strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and customer service mindset to address employee inquiries professionally.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
