Join the Monetary Authority of Singapore MAS as an ICT Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on Automation. As part of the Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team, you will lead the development and maintenance of automation pipelines, primarily using Ansible to provision, configure, and manage compute, storage, and network resources. You will collaborate with security and platform teams to enforce compliance, resilience, and performance. This role blends systems engineering, DevOps practices, and automation to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigorous controls expected in a financial authority.
You will be expected to contribute to architecture decisions, implement CI CD for infrastructure changes, monitor automation health, and document playbooks and runbooks for incident response. Responsibility
- Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using Ansible to provision cloud-native resources and on-premise systems.
- Develop and manage IaC pipelines to enable consistent, repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with security, networking, and platform teams to enforce compliance and resilience.
- Integrate infrastructure automation with CI CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement automated remediation.
- Monitor performance and reliability of automation scripts and underlying infrastructure.
- Produce up-to-date playbooks, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to automation standards and best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience with hands-on automation, preferably in regulated environments.
- Strong hands-on Ansible experience; familiarity with other automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet or Chef is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; ability to write maintainable automation code.
- Solid networking and security fundamentals; comfortable implementing automated security controls and access management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in Singapore and adapt to fast-changing priorities.
