Job description

Capital Dynamics is seeking a skilled Infrastructure & Network Engineer to join our expanding IT team in Kuala Lumpur. As a trusted partner managing high-availability systems, you will design, implement, and maintain robust network and infrastructure solutions that power our business operations, protect data, and deliver seamless experiences for clients and colleagues alike.

You will work across on-premises and cloud environments, collaborating with security, applications, and data teams to align network architecture with business goals. Your responsibilities will include monitoring performance, implementing resilient network designs, and ensuring uptime and data integrity through proactive maintenance and incident response. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and stays current on developments in network technologies, security practices, and infrastructure trends.

In this role, you will:

Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable network architectures across LAN, WAN, data centers, and cloud environments.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity planning, and security controls; perform root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and related network security appliances.
  • Implement network automation and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and software teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning, including documentation and post-incident reviews.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and participate in vendor management and evaluation.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, and firewall technologies.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow) and incident management processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows server administration and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
