Responsibility
- Oversee and supervise a team of inpatient DRG coders
- Ensure accurate and timely assignment of diagnosis-related group codes
- Review documentation to support coding assignments
- Provide training and mentorship to coding staff
- Monitor coding productivity and quality metrics
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient DRG coding
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
