Job description
Embark on a paid IT internship at iFAST Global Hub AI in Kuala Lumpur. This program is designed for IT students who are eager to apply Java and mobile development skills to real-world projects. Top performers receive RM2,000 per month while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
As part of the IT team, you will work closely with experienced developers to build and enhance Java-based applications and mobile solutions. You will learn modern development practices, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and contribute to meaningful features from design to deployment. This internship offers mentorship, exposure to code reviews, and opportunities to contribute to both frontend and backend components, as well as testing and documentation. You will also gain insight into version control, debugging, and basic CI/CD concepts to deliver quality software efficiently.
Responsibility
- Assist Java and mobile development tasks under guidance from senior engineers
- Develop and debug features for Java-based applications and Android apps
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform basic unit testing
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to refine requirements and deliver features
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Learn and apply version control (Git), debugging, and basic CI/CD practices
Qualification
- Currently pursuing IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related degree
- Fundamental knowledge of Java; familiarity with Android development is a plus
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON data formats
- Basic experience with Git and software development lifecycle
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Good communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team in Kuala Lumpur
