We are seeking a professional Interpretation Specialist to join our fast-growing language services team in Chicago. This role blends on-site and remote interpretation work across healthcare, legal, and corporate settings.
As part of our client-centric approach, you will deliver accurate and culturally informed interpretation, maintain strict confidentiality, and contribute to glossary development and quality assurance.
Responsibilities and opportunities include:
- Provide accurate consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for medical, legal, and corporate assignments, in-person or via remote platforms.
- Coordinate on-site and remote sessions, test equipment, and ensure high-quality audio and video signaling.
- Develop and maintain glossaries and termbases; conduct terminology research to ensure consistency across projects.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and fellow interpreters to plan and execute assignments on schedule.
- Brief clients and speakers on workflow, equipment, and expectations; manage on-site logistics when required.
- Travel to assignments as needed and adhere to industry ethics, privacy, and professional standards.

- Coordinate logistics for on-site and remote sessions, including equipment checks and setup.
- Develop glossaries and termbases; perform terminology research for project consistency.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and interpreters to plan and deliver high-quality services.
- Brief clients and speakers on workflow, equipment, and expectations; manage on-site logistics when required.
- Travel to assignments as needed and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Interpretation, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional interpretation certification is preferred (e.g., NAD, AIIC, CBI, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of interpretation experience across healthcare, legal, or corporate sectors.
- Native or near-native English with proficiency in at least two additional languages.
- Strong listening, memory, note-taking, and public speaking skills.
- Familiarity with interpretation equipment and remote platforms; ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
