Harborview Capital Partners is seeking a dynamic Investment Analyst to join our growing team in New York City. This role offers exposure to public equities, fixed income, and alternative assets, with a focus on rigorous research, financial modeling, and data driven decision making.
In this role, you will collaborate with portfolio managers and research teams to evaluate opportunities, build valuation models, and monitor portfolio risk. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in finance, and a passion for financial markets.
Responsibility
- Conduct fundamental research and build financial models to evaluate investment opportunities across equities and fixed income
- Develop valuation analyses including DCF, relative valuation, and scenario modeling
- Monitor portfolio risk and performance, prepare attribution and KPI reports
- Prepare clear investment memos and present findings to portfolio managers
- Collaborate with research, trading, and risk teams to implement ideas
- Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and macro themes to inform ideas
- Support due diligence and ongoing monitoring of investments
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in finance, economics, or related field; 1–3 years of investment analysis experience
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; experience with PowerPoint for presentations
- Solid understanding of valuation methodologies and financial statement analysis
- Proven analytical thinker with attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Experience with data tools such as SQL or Python is a plus
- Professional designation such as CFA Level I or progress is preferred
- Interest in equity research and portfolio construction across asset classes
