Join SummitEdge Capital as an Investment Analyst in New York City. You will support portfolio managers with research, financial modeling, and market analysis to drive informed investment decisions. This is a high-performance role suited for candidates who combine rigorous quantitative skills with thoughtful qualitative assessments.
What you’ll do:
Be part of a collaborative research team that analyzes equities and credits, builds robust financial models, and helps shape investment recommendations. You will interact with trading, risk, and operations teams to ensure rigorous, compliant investment processes.
Responsibility
- Conduct fundamental research across assigned sectors, evaluating company financials, competitive dynamics, and catalysts.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comps, LBO where applicable) to support investment theses.
- Produce concise investment memos and presentations for internal committees and clients.
- Monitor portfolio holdings and risk factors, flagging material changes or opportunities.
- Perform quantitative analyses to identify alpha generation and risk controls.
- Collaborate with analysts and PMs to translate research into actionable trade ideas.
- Utilize data sources (Bloomberg, FactSet, SEC filings) to inform decisions and ensure data integrity.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA level I or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 2-4 years of investment research, equity trading, or related analysis experience.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, APV, comps) with a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and data tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, SQL/Python).
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
