Job description

Apex Capital Partners is seeking a focused and results-driven Investment Analyst to join our NYC team. This is a high-growth role designed for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

As part of the Investments team, you will support the end-to-end investment process, collaborate with portfolio managers, and contribute to the firm's mission of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns for clients.

Responsibility

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of public and private companies to inform investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain financial models, perform scenario analyses, and value companies using DCF, comps, and precedent transactions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and market developments to identify alpha opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memos and present findings to the investment committee with clarity and persuasiveness.
  • Collaborate with research, trading, and risk teams to ensure alignment with investment thesis and risk controls.
  • Support due diligence for potential new investments, including data gathering and management interviews.
  • Enhance data infrastructure: data collection, normalization, and visualization to enable faster decision-making.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling skills (Excel) and proficiency in SQL; Python is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, and capital markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and results-driven with high ethical standards.
