Recogine is seeking a proactive IT Administrator to join our IT team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field and brings 1-3 years of hands-on experience in IT support or system administration. You will be responsible for maintaining our Windows and Linux environments, deploying software, applying security patches, and providing excellent technical support to staff across the organization.
As a key member of our tech foundation, you will monitor server performance, manage user accounts, and assist with network services to ensure high availability and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, backups, disaster recovery, and routine maintenance, while following best practices for data protection and compliance. Responsibility
- Maintain and monitor Windows Server and Linux-based systems, services, and applications to ensure reliability and performance.
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade software; manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
- Provide internal IT support for staff, diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, and document resolutions.
- Administer Active Directory, mail systems, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Assist with network services, VPNs, firewall rules, and basic switch/router configurations; contribute to network security.
- Track IT assets, manage inventory, and support procurement activities for hardware and software.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, virtualization initiatives, and cloud integrations as needed.
- Follow IT security policies, perform routine maintenance, and support incident response efforts.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux distributions; familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or Bash).
- Experience with Active Directory, email systems, backups, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Good problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; proactive and detail-oriented.
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security best practices.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft MCSA) are a plus.
