NovaCore IT Consulting is seeking a client-focused IT Consultant to drive technology-enabled business outcomes for enterprise clients. This role blends strategic advisory, technology assessment, and hands-on solution delivery. Hybrid work model available in San Francisco, with travel to client sites as needed.
In this role you will partner with executives and technical teams to translate business goals into scalable IT strategies, architecture blueprints, and measurable value. You will leverage your deep understanding of cloud platforms, security, data, and integration to deliver tangible results.
Responsibility
- Lead IT strategy engagements and transformation roadmaps aligned with client business objectives.
- Assess current architectures, application portfolios, data models, and security postures to identify optimization opportunities.
- Design and scope cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud) and modern workloads while controlling risk and cost.
- Develop compelling business cases with ROI/TCO analyses to secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet client requirements.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and client communications to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice development, proposals, and knowledge sharing.
- Support post-implementation optimization and value tracking to realize lasting impact.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
- 5+ years in IT consulting, systems integration, or advisory roles with demonstrated client impact.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to executives.
- Proven experience leading complex client engagements and delivering on time and within budget.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern migration patterns.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk and compliance frameworks; familiarity with ITIL or COBIT.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP or ITIL certification preferred; willingness to pursue relevant certifications.
