Join SGS as an IT Executive - Digitalization (Data) and play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights. This full-time role is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. You will collaborate with business leaders to drive data-driven decision making using Power BI and modern data platforms.
As part of our digitalization initiative, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable dashboards and reports that enable rapid, data informed decisions across departments. You will work with live data sources, perform data cleansing, integration, and transformation, and help shape data governance practices to ensure quality and compliance. You will manage multiple analytics projects, prioritize work, and mentor junior analysts where needed. Responsibility
- Lead design and development of Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators for multiple business units
- Collaborate with data engineers to extract, transform, and load data from disparate sources into a coherent data model
- Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and define metrics, KPIs, and thresholds
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with company standards; maintain data dictionaries and lineage
- Develop automated recurring reports and provide ad hoc analyses to support decision making
- Drive digitalization initiatives by identifying data driven opportunities and partnering with IT for data architecture improvements
- Coordinate with cross functional teams, manage project timelines, and mentor junior analysts
- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders through compelling visuals and executive level presentations
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Proven experience with Power BI and data visualization; strong SQL skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data modeling
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Experience in digitalization or data analytics projects in manufacturing, quality, or compliance domains is a plus
