Responsibility

  • Perform routine and specialized testing in the clinical immunology laboratory, including serology, immunoassays, and related immunology workloads.
  • Accession, preprocess, and prepare specimens; ensure correct labeling and tracking in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment; conduct regular quality controls and participate in instrument maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, biosafety guidelines, and quality management standards; document and communicate results accurately.
  • Assist in method development, validation, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain data integrity through accurate data entry, result verification, and timely reporting to clinicians.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and the wider healthcare team; participate in shift work and on-call arrangements as required.

Qualification

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent; relevant hospital laboratory exposure is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; internship or practical training in clinical immunology is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of immunology techniques and immunoassays; familiarity with LIMS is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and meticulous documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a dynamic hospital environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn laboratory information systems.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
