6 Letter Coffee is seeking a motivated Junior Barista to join our team at the East Coast, Central Region location. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, a friendly work environment, and clear paths for growth within a growing specialty coffee brand.
You will learn the craft of espresso, milk texturing, and latte art across a range of beverages while delivering fast, friendly service. Requirements: While prior barista experience is helpful, we welcome applicants who are new to the field but bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You will be expected to present yourself professionally, deliver accurate orders, and work collaboratively with teammates during peak hours.
Responsibility
- Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte) with consistency and flair.
- Greet customers, take orders, upsell menu items, and process payments using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including espresso machine, grinders, and counters.
- Accurately measure and steam milk, texturing milk for latte art and beverage quality.
- Assist with stock management, restocking pastry and beverage supplies; update inventory as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, comply with hygiene standards, and monitor equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver fast, friendly service during busy periods.
Qualification
- Prior experience in food and beverage or hospitality is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn brewing methods and latte art.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills; friendly, patient, and attentive.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math and cash handling skills; comfortable using a POS system.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute as part of a team.
