Join Sandoitchi Private Ltd as a Junior Chef in our busy kitchen at Lorong Chuan. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring culinary professionals to learn under experienced chefs and contribute to a fast paced, high‑quality dining experience. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare, cook and plate a range of dishes that delight guests while maintaining our standards of freshness and presentation.

As a full time member, you can expect a schedule of around 44 to 48 hours per week with overtime paid after 44 hours. We offer competitive monthly pay of SGD 2,000 to 2,600, along with on the job training and opportunities to grow into more senior kitchen positions.

What you will do includes supporting the head chef in daily operations, ensuring mise en place, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety guidelines. You will assist with portion control, plating, stock monitoring and collaboration with the team to deliver consistent, delicious dishes to our guests. You will also help with inventory, receiving deliveries and basic menu execution to support a smooth service.

Responsibility

  • Support the head chef in daily kitchen operations and line setup to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene in line with guidelines.
  • Assist in portion control, plating, and presentation to deliver appealing dishes.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in inventory, receive deliveries, and help manage waste and quantity control.
  • Follow recipes and kitchen standards to ensure consistency and quality across all plates.
  • Collaborate with team to keep workstation and equipment clean and organized.
  • Provide flexible support to the kitchen and guest service teams as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
