Responsibility
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and mise en place, following recipes and instructions.
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Keep the kitchen, prep areas, and storage spaces spotless and organized in line with health and safety standards.
- Support inventory processes, receive deliveries, check temperatures, and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Monitor food safety, proper temperatures, and hygiene practices; report issues promptly.
- Assist during service with plating support and maintaining speed and accuracy during busy periods.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualification
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus, but not required.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 25 kg.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP/Food Hygiene knowledge is a plus).
- Flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn with a positive attitude.
