Responsibility
- Wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using approved dishwashing equipment and chemicals, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, sinks, and storage areas; maintain organized, waste-free kitchen before, during, and after service.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling, and proper labeling of food waste according to local regulations and company policy.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including mise en place, portioning, and labeling of ingredients.
- Restock and organize cleaning supplies, dishware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools; report shortages to supervisors.
- Maintain personal hygiene and follow health and safety codes, including wearing appropriate PPE and following sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours and support other teams as needed.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; food safety training is a plus.
- Previous experience in a kitchen, steward, or dishwashing role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
- Knowledge of basic sanitation and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; positive attitude in a fast paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
