Responsibility
- Sort, wash, dry, iron/press, and fold clothing, linens, and uniforms for government facilities.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment; monitor water temperature, detergents, and safety protocols.
- Keep accurate laundry logs, track inventory of supplies, and prepare items for distribution to departments.
- Ensure sanitation and hygiene standards are met; follow infection prevention guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; report equipment malfunctions and request timely repairs.
- Assist other facilities staff with related support tasks as needed.
- Adhere to work schedules, safety policies, and code of conduct for civil service positions.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in laundry operations is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move items up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of laundry processes, detergents, and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow written procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work with diverse staff.
- Willingness to work in a public sector environment and to learn safety and sanitation standards.
