Responsibility
- Provide expert hair cutting, coloring, and styling services for a diverse client base with precision and artistry.
- Consult with clients to determine hair goals and recommend appropriate treatments, colors, and products.
- Perform advanced techniques such as balayage, foiling, color corrections, and precision cuts.
- Ensure meticulous sanitation and safety standards in all work areas.
- Maintain a pristine workstation, manage appointment flow, and deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Collaborate with senior stylists and assistants to create cohesive styles and retail opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends and participate in ongoing education and workshops.
- Mentor junior stylists, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to team training sessions.
Qualification
- Valid cosmetology license for New York State and ability to provide proof of credentials.
- 3+ years of professional hairstyling experience in a high-end salon.
- Expertise in cutting, coloring, and finishing with a portfolio showcasing balayage, color work, and precision cuts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods.
- Strong sanitation and safety knowledge; familiarity with sanitation standards and sterilization procedures.
- Proficiency with salon software and POS systems; comfortable upselling retail products.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a passion for grooming excellence.
