As a Lead Hair Stylist, you will deliver exceptional service to a diverse clientele, mentor junior stylists, and contribute to a welcoming salon atmosphere that keeps clients returning for the Luxe experience.
Responsibility
- Provide advanced hair cutting, styling, color formulation, and finishing services to clients with consistency and attention to detail.
- Consult with clients to determine the best look, recommend products, and create personalized treatment plans.
- Perform color services (balayage, highlights, single-process, toning) with current techniques and safety standards.
- Maintain immaculate sanitation, client safety, and equipment hygiene in accordance with state regulations.
- Drive client retention through exceptional service, upselling premium products, and thoughtful follow-up.
- Mentor and assist junior stylists, share techniques, and contribute to team training sessions.
- Manage appointment flow, sales, and salon atmosphere to ensure a smooth, high-end experience.
Qualification
- Licensed cosmetologist or barber in New York State with a strong portfolio of work.
- Minimum 5 years of professional hairstyling experience in a salon setting.
- Expertise in cuts, color, texture services, and styling for a diverse clientele.
- Proficiency with balayage, foils, color corrections, and contemporary techniques.
- Excellent communication, listening, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong product knowledge and a passion for continuing education.
- Team-oriented mindset with a professional, polished presence.
