As a Lead Hairstylist, you will be the creative leader behind transformative hair designs for a diverse clientele. Responsibility
- Consult with clients to understand goals and suggest personalized hair care and styling solutions
- Perform high-quality haircuts, styling, blowouts, updos, and advanced finishes for diverse clients
- Lead and mentor junior stylists and apprentices, providing feedback and skill development
- Collaborate with colorists to create cohesive looks, including color application and finishing
- Maintain impeccable sanitation, safety standards, and equipment maintenance
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge; contribute to trend-forward services
- Drive client satisfaction and retention through relationship building and premium service
- Assist with appointment scheduling, inventory management, and salon operations as needed
Qualification
- Valid cosmetology license in New York or eligible credential
- 3+ years of professional hairstyling experience in a high-end salon
- Proven skills in cutting, styling, blowouts, coloring, and texture services
- Portfolio demonstrating diverse techniques and client results
- Strong communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and lead by example
- Excellent sanitation practices and adherence to safety standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak salon hours
