As a Lead Makeup Artist, you will craft flawless makeup looks, provide expert color consulting, and mentor junior artists while delivering outstanding service to high-profile clients. You will also collaborate with photographers and stylists to ensure stunning results across campaigns, films, and events.
Responsibility
- Provide professional makeup services for bridal campaigns, fashion shoots, red-carpet events, and in-studio client sessions.
- Consult with clients to determine goals, skin type, color preferences, and event requirements; tailor looks accordingly.
- Design and execute makeup looks with emphasis on skin health, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with photographers, hairstylists, and wardrobe teams to achieve cohesive aesthetics for shoots.
- Manage and maintain makeup kit, tools, and product inventory; ensure sanitation between clients.
- Mentor and train junior artists; lead team during busy days and events.
- Provide on-site and in-studio guest services, including trials, touch-ups, and client education.
- Drive client retention by delivering exceptional service and upselling suitable products and services.
Qualification
- 3+ years of professional makeup artistry experience across bridal, editorial, film, or beauty retail environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across skin tones, ages, and events.
- Proficiency in makeup techniques including corrective makeup, contouring, lighting, and color theory; experience with airbrush a plus.
- Excellent communication, client service, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to sanitation standards; knowledge of safety practices and cleanliness of tools and surfaces.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings; willingness to travel for shoots or events.
- Own makeup kit with essential products and tools; reliable sourcing and organization.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to work in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
