Join Peak Performance Sports Academy as a Lead Sports Coach in Los Angeles. You will design dynamic, sport-specific training programs, mentor athletes, and drive performance through data-driven coaching. This full-time role offers a collaborative culture, continuing education, and opportunities to work with youth and amateur athletes across multiple sports.
As a member of our coaching team, you will leverage your expertise to inspire peak performance while ensuring safety and well-being of all participants.
Responsibility
- Design and implement season-long, sport-specific training programs aligned with athletic development goals.
- Lead engaging practice sessions, drills, and conditioning to improve technique, fitness, and tactical understanding.
- Assess athlete progress using objective metrics and adjust plans to maximize growth.
- Provide constructive feedback, motivate athletes, and foster a positive, inclusive team culture.
- Collaborate with other coaches, athletic trainers, and school staff to coordinate schedules and events.
- Ensure participant safety by enforcing proper technique, warm-ups, and injury prevention protocols.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about progress, expectations, and upcoming events.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in sports science, kinesiology, physical education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Coaching certifications in the relevant sport (e.g., USSF, NSCAA, NASM, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of coaching experience with youth or amateur athletes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- First Aid/CPR certification and knowledge of injury prevention strategies.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, travel as needed.
- Proven track record of athlete development and performance improvement.
