Pacific Peak Athletics is seeking a results-driven Sports Coach to lead training sessions, design programs, and mentor athletes across youth and elite levels. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to sport-specific needs. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, motivational leadership, and a data-driven approach to performance. Responsibility
- Plan and deliver high-performance coaching sessions tailored to age and ability across multiple sports.
- Assess individual and team skills; design personalized development plans and track progress over time.
- Collaborate with strength & conditioning, sports medicine, and analytics staff to optimize performance and prevent injuries.
- Implement sport-specific safety protocols, risk assessments, and proper warm-up/cool-down routines.
- Foster a positive, inclusive training culture; motivate athletes and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Communicate progress, expectations, and feedback clearly with athletes, parents, and program directors.
- Lead tryouts, evaluations, and progression pathways for youth and elite athletes; coordinate scheduling and logistics for camps and events.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Science, or related field; or substantial coaching experience with proven outcomes.
- Coaching certification relevant to the sport(s) you will oversee (e.g., USSF, USA Basketball, NASM, ACSM); minimum Level 2 where applicable.
- 3-5 years of coaching experience with youth and/or elite athletes; track record of performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of periodization, skill development, and evidence-based coaching methods.
- CPR/First Aid certification and commitment to athlete safety.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Willingness to travel for camps, games, and tournaments; reliable transportation and punctuality.
