Responsibility
- Deliver high quality undergraduate courses in ethics, logic, metaphysics, epistemology, and related areas.
- Design and update course curricula, assessments, and learning outcomes to reflect current scholarship.
- Supervise student research projects and provide constructive feedback on writing and argumentation.
- Develop and contribute to interdisciplinary modules and public philosophy initiatives.
- Maintain an active research program with publications and conference presentations.
- Participate in departmental service, committees, and student recruitment efforts.
- Engage with diverse student populations and foster inclusive teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and scholarship.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or related field or equivalent research experience.
- Evidence of excellence in university teaching and ability to teach a broad range of philosophy topics.
- A strong research profile with plans for future work and publication.
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and diversity in higher education.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to a vibrant philosophy program.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital pedagogy tools.
- Experience supervising student research and experience with grant writing is an advantage.
