As a core member of our collaborative health center, you will provide evidence based, respectful care, support natural birth, and partner with obstetricians, nurses, and lactation consultants to optimize outcomes for families in our community.

Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for individuals seeking midwifery services in accordance with professional standards.
- Develop individualized birth plans and support patients through labor using evidence based techniques and patient choice.
- Monitor fetal well being, manage labor progression, and respond to emergencies with calm, skilled decision making.
- Educate patients and families on prenatal nutrition, newborn care, lactation, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other specialists to ensure holistic, safe, and respectful care.
- Document care in the electronic health record accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide culturally sensitive care and advocate for patients' preferences and informed decision making.
- Participate in on-call coverage and flexible scheduling to meet patient needs.
Qualification
- Active midwifery license or certification recognized in Washington State (CNM or CPM) with eligibility to practice in WA.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical midwifery experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum settings.
- Strong knowledge of evidence based obstetric care and safety practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and cultural humility.
- Basic life support and neonatal resuscitation program certification; BLS, NRP preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing clinical needs.
- Commitment to patient education, informed consent, and respectful, patient centered care.
