Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Korean dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all meals are prepared, plated, and presented with high attention to quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage orders, ingredient inventory, and the timely delivery of dishes during peak hours.
- Assist in daily food prep, including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate supply needs to management to prevent shortages or waste.
- Support the Head Chef with new menu rollouts and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with peers and management, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role, preferably in a Korean or Asian cuisine restaurant.
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and cooking techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is a plus.
