Join LuxeGlow Studio, a premium makeup studio in Los Angeles known for red-carpet ready looks and editorial beauty. We’re seeking a talented Makeup Artist to join our creative team on a full-time basis.
As a Makeup Artist at LuxeGlow, you’ll craft flawless makeup for diverse clients, collaborate with photographers and stylists, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, luxury environment. Candidates should be passionate, detail-oriented, and adept at both classic and contemporary makeup techniques.
What you’ll do includes client consultations, designing and executing makeup looks for bridal, editorial, film/TV, and backstage events, maintaining impeccable sanitation standards, staying current with trends and product knowledge, and contributing to a positive, collaborative studio culture.
Responsibility
- Consult with clients to understand makeup goals and comfort levels, delivering personalized looks.
- Apply makeup for bridal, editorial, film/TV, and event shoots with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain strict sanitation and hygiene protocols for tools and workstation.
- Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and fellow artists to achieve cohesive aesthetics.
- Color-match and adapt makeup for varied skin tones and lighting conditions.
- Stay abreast of trends and product knowledge to offer couture looks.
- Retouch and set makeup for long-lasting results during shoots or events.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional makeup artistry experience in bridal, fashion/editorial, or film/TV environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing versatility across skin tones and ages.
- Proficiency with makeup tools, products, and sanitation standards; knowledge of airbrushing is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Excellent communication and client service skills; professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with lighting, color theory, and product knowledge for longevity.
- Capacity to collaborate in a fast-paced studio and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
