Responsibility
- Lead and manage advanced research projects in numerical analysis, optimization, and mathematical modeling.
- Collaborate with faculty, scientists, and industry partners to define objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and implement computational tools and simulations using Python, MATLAB, and C/C++ as appropriate.
- Publish findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Mentor graduate students and support course development and teaching activities.
- Contribute to grant proposals and help secure external funding for research programs.
- Disseminate results through open data, software releases, and seminars to diverse audiences.
Qualification
- PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated strong publication record and research independence.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB; experience with R or Julia is a plus.
- Solid foundation in numerical methods, algorithms, and mathematical modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Experience mentoring students and working in cross-functional teams.
- U.S. work authorization or eligible to work in the United States.
