Responsibility
- Lead original research in areas such as algebra, analysis, numerical methods, and applied mathematics
- Develop mathematical models and algorithms to address real world problems in engineering, data science, or finance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including computer science, physics, and economics
- Publish results in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor graduate students and supervise research assistants
- Prepare and contribute to grant proposals to secure external funding
- Contribute to open source software and reproducible research practices
Qualification
- PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field; or equivalent research experience
- Strong expertise in at least two core areas such as linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, numerical analysis, probability or statistics
- Proficiency in programming languages used for research such as Python, MATLAB, R, or C++
- Proven track record of high quality research with publications and presentations
- Experience with mathematical modeling, simulations, and data analysis
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
