Join ManpowerGroup as a Microbiology Supervisor, leading QC microbiology operations within a cutting-edge pharma facility developing modular, agile multi-product vaccine production lines. In this pivotal role, you will oversee microbial testing, environmental monitoring, and strict adherence to GMP and GDP standards to ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
As a trusted team lead, you will partner with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Development to drive robust quality control, rapid investigations, and data-driven improvements in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. You will champion continuous improvement, maintain rigorous documentation, and mentor a high-performing laboratory team to meet tight timelines while upholding the highest quality systems.
Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day microbiology QC operations to ensure timely and accurate testing in GMP/GDP-compliant labs.
- Oversee routine and non-routine microbiological testing including sterility, environmental monitoring, microbial identifications, and assay validation.
- Review data trends, investigate deviations or out-of-spec results, and initiate CAPA plans and root-cause analyses.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and Development to support product releases, tech transfers, and process improvements.
- Plan staffing, allocate resources, and develop training programs to maintain competency, safety, and audit readiness.
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and qualification of laboratory equipment; manage inventory and reagents.
- Maintain meticulous, compliant documentation and support GMP/GDP compliance during internal and external audits.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical QC microbiology experience; leadership experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and GDP regulatory requirements and quality systems.
- Experience leading a microbiology laboratory and coordinating cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in microbiology techniques such as sterility testing, environmental monitoring, microbial identifications, and data analysis.
- Experience with LIMS/ELN and data integrity practices; proficient in compliant documentation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and CAPA/deviation management skills.
