As a member of the senior management team, you will oversee facilities, security, retail and visitor services, and work closely with curators, educators, volunteers, and partners to deliver inclusive, high-impact programs.
Responsibility
- Oversee daily museum operations, security, facilities, and visitor services to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead strategic planning for exhibitions, programs, and community engagement initiatives.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasting, and grant compliance.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including curators, educators, registrars, and operations staff.
- Collaborate with donors, foundations, sponsors, and government agencies to secure funding and partnerships.
- Oversee collections stewardship, accessibility, and safety standards in alignment with professional best practices.
- Coordinate marketing, audience research, and digital engagement strategies to grow visitation and impact.
- Represent the museum to local communities, academics, and cultural networks.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Arts Administration, History, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in museum or cultural institution management with demonstrated leadership.
- Proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Strong knowledge of collections management, curatorial standards, and conservation basics.
- Budgeting, financial management, and operational planning experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a dynamic environment.
